The Curl Curl house rises above the sandstone topography and a retained sandstone basement.

The spaces of the house are composed of elemental volumes offset with an overhanging skillion roof and projecting view windows looking towards the seas horizon. The house employs a range of passive and active sustainable features and a landscape plan that will re-establish endemic coastal plantings.
