Bondi Black Box 2016 Bondi, NSW / Project in Progress

Tucked into a jumble of 60’s and 70’s apartment buildings in the back of Bondi an early 20th century house was restored and extended. The new work clearly separate from the original roof form its new first floor conceived as a black box held aloft on a white brick base to capture breezes and views of the ocean across the rooftops. A separate secondary dwelling was incorporated in the design over a new two car garage.
